Accessibility Statement
Applies to: TerraAqua public websites, customer portals, cloud dashboard and official applications
1. Commitment
TerraAqua wants its website, My TerraAqua, TerraAqua Cloud and applications to be usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including people who use assistive technology or have visual, hearing, motor, cognitive or other access needs.
2. Scope
This statement applies to TerraAqua's public website, Legal Centre, customer account pages, cloud dashboard and official web and mobile applications. Physical product accessibility and embedded controller interfaces may be addressed separately where appropriate.
3. Accessibility objective
TerraAqua aims to design and improve its digital services with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA where reasonably applicable.
This statement does not claim that every page or feature has completed formal independent conformance testing.
4. Measures used
TerraAqua's accessibility work may include:
- clear page structure and headings;
- keyboard-accessible navigation and controls;
- visible focus indicators;
- text alternatives for meaningful images;
- labels and instructions for form fields;
- sufficient text contrast;
- responsive layouts and text enlargement;
- plain language where practical;
- descriptive links and error messages; and
- testing with browsers, devices and assistive technologies.
5. Known limitations
Some content or functionality may not yet be fully accessible. Potential limitations may include:
- older pages or documents created before the current design system;
- third-party payment, mapping, authentication or embedded services;
- complex live charts and rapidly updating sensor data;
- some downloadable documents;
- hardware interfaces with limited screen size; and
- content supplied by users or third parties.
TerraAqua will prioritise fixes according to user impact, safety, frequency of use and technical feasibility.
6. Live aquarium data
Charts, status colours and alarm indicators should not rely solely on colour where reasonably possible. TerraAqua aims to provide accompanying text, values or status labels for important information.
7. Controller display
The ReefCore display is designed for dedicated local operation. Physical size, embedded hardware and safety requirements may limit some accessibility options. TerraAqua will consider accessible alternatives and remote interfaces when developing the product.
8. Third-party content
TerraAqua does not control every third-party service integrated into its products. TerraAqua will select and configure third-party services with accessibility in mind where reasonably possible and will raise material issues with the relevant provider.
9. Alternative formats
If you need information in another reasonable format, contact TerraAqua and explain what you need and which assistive technology you use, if relevant. TerraAqua will consider the request and respond as soon as reasonably possible.
10. Reporting a problem
Report an accessibility problem to info@terra-aqua.co.uk. Please include:
- the page, screen or document concerned;
- a description of the problem;
- the device, browser or application used;
- any assistive technology used; and
- the format or adjustment that would help.
11. Reasonable adjustments
TerraAqua will consider reasonable adjustments for disabled customers and service users in accordance with applicable equality law.
12. Testing and review
Accessibility will be reviewed during significant design changes and as issues are reported. TerraAqua may use automated checks, keyboard testing, manual review and assistive-technology testing.
13. Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared on 21 July 2026 and will be reviewed when material changes are made or significant accessibility findings arise.
14. Contact
Accessibility requests and feedback may be sent to info@terra-aqua.co.uk.
